WhatNow?

Is often the question that anyone who has experienced a death asks. Experiencing a death at a younger age can be traumatic, and often leave you feeling isolated. While there isn't anything anyone can do to prevent loss, the lack of current support for this age group can be addressed. Currently 16-24 year olds often feel too old for the children's support groups, but way to young for the adult groups - neither feel like the right place. Leave letters to yourself, others, or those you have lost. Find groups in your area to find people like you who just 'get it'. 'WhatNow?' is here to make sure no one feels alone in asking that hard question.

Grief is a journey — and that idea shaped every part of the design process. From road sign-inspired logos to mailboxes and handwritten letters, the visual language gently guides users through each step of their healing journey. The design decisions leaned into a sense of familiarity and nostalgia, using elements like letters, post boxes, and moving boxes - everyday objects that 16–24-year-olds likely grew up with. In a world that’s increasingly digital, bringing these tactile, messy, comforting visuals back into focus adds warmth, grounding, and emotional connection to the site.
